Sky Ventura LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Sportro mobile application (the "Platform"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect your personal information when you use our Platform. By using Sportro, you consent to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

• Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, username, full name, date of birth, and password. You may also provide optional information such as a profile photo, bio, city, phone number, and sports interests.

• User Content: We collect content you create, upload, or share through the Platform, including posts, comments, photos, videos, messages, community details, and event information.

• Communications: When you contact us for support or feedback, we collect the information you provide in those communications.

• Verification Data: We may collect proof of age or parental consent documentation where required for eligibility verification.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Usage Data: How you interact with the Platform, including features used, pages viewed, actions taken (likes, RSVPs, friend requests, community joins), and timestamps.

• Device Information: Device type, operating system and version, unique device identifiers, and push notification tokens.

• Location Data: With your permission, we may collect approximate location data from your device to provide location-based features such as finding nearby events and communities. You can disable location access through your device settings at any time.

• Log Data: IP address, access times, and referring URLs when you access the Platform.

1.3 Information from Other Sources

• Contacts (Optional): With your explicit permission, we may access your device contacts to help you find and invite friends who may use Sportro. Contact data is used only for this purpose and is not stored permanently on our servers.

• Payment Information: Payments are processed exclusively through Stripe. We do not store your credit card numbers, bank account details, or other financial information. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment data.

• Third-Party Sign-In: If you sign in using a third-party service (such as Apple or Google), we receive basic profile information as permitted by that service and your settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, operate, and improve the Platform
• Create and manage your account
• Enable social features including messaging, friend connections, communities, and events
• Send push notifications about activity relevant to you (messages, likes, comments, mentions, events, friend requests, and community updates)
• Process payments for paid events and communities via Stripe
• Personalize your experience, including event and community recommendations based on your location and interests
• Enforce our Terms & Conditions and protect against fraud, abuse, and misuse
• Ensure the safety and security of users and the Platform
• Respond to support requests and communications
• Comply with legal obligations
• Analyze usage trends and improve the Platform (in aggregate or de-identified form)

We do not use your personal information for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. We do not sell your personal information to third parties for advertising purposes.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We will never sell your personal information to anyone.

We may share information in the following circumstances:

• With Other Users: Your profile information (name, username, avatar, bio, city, sports interests) and posts are visible to other users. Private messages are visible only to participants. Community and event details are visible to members and attendees.

• Community Administrators and Event Organizers: When you join a community or RSVP to an event, organizers may see your name, username, and profile information for coordination purposes only. Organizers are prohibited from using your data for marketing or off-platform contact without your explicit consent.

• Service Providers: We use third-party services to operate the Platform, including:
  • Supabase (data storage, authentication, and backend services)
  • Stripe (payment processing via Stripe Connect)
  • Expo (push notification delivery)
  • These providers access your data only as necessary to perform services on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect your information.

• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, legal process, or government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Sky Ventura LLC, our users, or the public.

• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the new entity. We will notify you before your personal information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

• Aggregated Data: We may share anonymized, aggregated data that cannot identify you for analytics or research purposes.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Platform's services. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data, including your profile, posts, messages, and associated content.

Some information may be retained for a limited period after account deletion:

• As required by law or legal obligations
• To resolve disputes or enforce our Terms
• In encrypted backups for disaster recovery (automatically purged on a rolling basis)
• To prevent fraud or abuse

If your account is terminated for violating our Terms & Conditions, related information may be retained to process and enforce the violation.

5. Your Rights and Choices

• Access and Update: You can access and update your profile information at any time through the Platform.

• Delete Account: You can delete your account from Settings, which removes your profile and associated data from the Platform.

• Data Portability: You may request a copy of your personal data by contacting us at sportrostaff@gmail.com.

• Notification Preferences: You can control which types of push notifications you receive in Settings.

• Location: You can disable location access through your device settings.

• Contacts: You can revoke contact access through your device settings at any time.

• Block Users: You can block other users to prevent them from viewing your profile or contacting you.

• Correction and Deletion Requests: You may request correction or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. We will respond to requests within a reasonable timeframe as required by applicable law.

• No Retaliation: Exercising your privacy rights will not result in retaliation or discrimination, though some Platform features may become unavailable without certain data.

6. Children's Privacy

Sportro is not intended for children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 years of age. Users between the ages of 16 and 17 may use the Platform only with verified parental or legal guardian consent.

If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 16 without proper consent, we will delete that information promptly and terminate the associated account.

7. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your information, including:

• Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
• Secure authentication and password hashing

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for reporting any suspected unauthorized access to your account immediately.

8. Third-Party Services

The Platform may contain links to or integrations with third-party services, websites, or applications. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any third party.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party service you access through or in connection with the Platform.

9. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including:

• The right to request deletion of your personal information
• The right to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information)

Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to the updated policy, you must stop using the Platform and delete your account.
